Polson celebrates season of light
With more homes and businesses putting up colorful Christmas lights and decorations, and more nominations being submitted for the Celebrate the Season of Light contest, Polson seems well on its way to becoming the most beautiful community on the lake this holiday season. The glow of the lights and their reflections in the water give the town a special sparkle.
The Celebrate the Season of Light judging committee (who say making these decisions was a “tough job”) has named the winners in the following categories: Best Multiple Colors — Brett and Pam McCrumb; Best Residence — Alan Clarke; Best Business — 1st Citizens Bank; Best Neighborhood — DeMers Lane; Best Church — Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Best Use of Monochrome Colors — Steve and Polly Dupuis.
Everyone can enjoy and appreciate their efforts, as well as that of many others, by taking a drive through Polson, driving the Rocky Point Road/Bay Point Road loop, and driving through Mission Bay. Watch for yard signs that designate all the winners.
There were 24 entries in the contest with several duplicate nominations. Celebrate the Season of Light is an annual event organized by the Beautification Committee of Envision Polson.
