Polson 37 C. Falls 77
At Polson, the conference leading WildKats showcased their offensive claws as they outpaced the Lady Pirates each segment of the contest. As many cat owners are aware, the focus of feisty felines isn’t easily placated and these visiting Kats are on a mission as they gear up for the upcoming postseason in their quest for a berth on the championship side of the bracket from which they have been bumped the past pair of seasons.
Accentuating Polson positives, team LP demonstrated measurable improvement from their previous encounter by scoring more than twice as many points as well as placing a pair of players in double digits with Makenna Weltz scoring a season high and Nichole Lake joining her in double digits. Brenna Clarke and Lauren Lefthand collaborated to dish out ten assists, a multi-fold improvement from the last clash in the Kat sandbox. The Lady Pirates also saw a thirtieth percentile jump in rebounding from the contest at Columbia Falls.
Senior post Lake continues to lead the NWA conference in rebounds per game as well as retains representation among the hierarchical rungs of the stat category ladder for deuces, combined shot percentage, points and steals. Other Lady Bucs with representation include Lauren Lefthand (3s, combined shot percentage, points, steals, assists, blocks), Brenna Clarke (rebounds, steals, assists), Kyler Lundeen (free-throw shooting), Erin Sampson (rebounding), Makenna Weltz (blocks) and Mollie Fisher (blocks).
