The Mission Valley Christian Academy will provide singing valentines from noon to 4 p.m. throughout the valley Feb. 12. Order forms are available at MVCA, the New Life Christian Center office in Polson or Mission Valley Printing in Ronan.

Members of the Thyme for Herbs Group will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Polson Library meeting room to continue its discussion on ingredients to avoid in foods and other products as well as garden planning. For more information call Linda Peterson at 406-319-2446. 

Ronan Bead Basket will host a retirement party of Sherri McDonald as she retires from 30 years of service as charity chairperson. The celebration will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 13 at Sacred Heart Parish Hall located at 35933 Round Butte Road in Ronan.

The Lions Club will present the Great Bear Foundation, hosted by Dennis DeVries from the Northern Studies Center at 6 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Lake Bar and Grill in Polson. DeVries will bring lots of pictures and good stories. All are welcome to this free event. Come early, order dinner and socialize. The Lake Bar and Grill is located at 101 Main Street in Polson. Lake County Sheriff Don Bell will speak at noon Feb. 12 in the Polson Rural Fire Department meeting room. Bell is the special guest of the Pachyderm Club and will assess his first year in office, report on the consolidation of Search and Rescue equipment under one room, and discuss the meth problem in Lake County.

The meeting is open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to attend. 

Polson Community Church will host a free community dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 29 at 1814 First Street East in Polson. Menu includes stuffed shells and spaghetti sauce as well as assorted deserts.

Free CPR class

February is Heart Health month and Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is celebrating with free CPR classes.

An instructor from St. Joseph will conduct the classroom, video-based course to teacher adult CPR and AED and how to relieve chocking in the adult. The classes are from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m. each Saturday in February in the Grandview Lobby, West PF Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center.
