Port Polson Players presents Shadows on Oak Island
The Port Polson Players in association with the Mission Valley Friends of the Arts continue their 41st season of Summer Theatre with the gripping psychological thriller Shadows on Oak Island. “Actually, it’s a history-mystery,” says director Karen Lewing. Oak Island, located on the south shore of Nova Scotia, has been featured in more than fifty books, documenting theories that it might be the last resting place of the Holy Grail or possibly the Ark of the Covenant. Television’s History Channel currently airs The Curse of Oak Island, a documentary series about a group of modern treasure hunters. The stage play Shadows on Oak Island is steeped in history, but also includes a storyline featuring (pictured here) Dana Grant, Kara Bishop and Jake Durglo. Oak Island opens on Thursday, July 21, and plays through August 7 at Polson’s beautiful Theatre on the Lake. Curtain time Wednesdays thru Saturdays is 8 pm, with 2:00 matinees every Sunday; the Players are dark Mondays and Tuesdays. Call 883-9212 or go to PortPolsonPlayers.com for reservations. Shadows on Oak Island is not recommended for young children.
