Betty Lou (McCollum) Beebe

Betty, peacefully, passed away May 18 at her home of 58 years.

She was born in Avery, Idaho August 23, 1936 to Sam and Nettie Karras. She spent her early years in Twin Bridges, Montana.

At the age of 18, Betty moved to St. Ignatius. She met her first love, Dan McCollum, at the Malt Shop. Together, they built a beautiful, happy life together. Their life was filled with hard work, laughter, fishing, swimming, camping and four children.

After 45 years of marriage, Dan passed away. Betty later married Bud Beebe. Bud was her constant companion until his death May 1, 2016.

Betty was well-liked, lived her life to the fullest. She had a contagious smile and the first one with a tan every spring. Her family was her pride and joy.

Betty will be missed, immensely, by family, friends and the St. Ignatius community.

She is survived by her four children, Lou, Steve, Pat and Mike and their spouses. She also leaves behind all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, “adopted” children, nieces and nephews, special friends and family.
