Lois Andrea (Jensen) Monatukwa

Lois Andrea (Jensen) Monatukwa passed away on May 31.  Lois was born March 2, 1949 to Marvin and Ellen Jensen.  She was the seventh of nine children. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Earl and her husband Shawndein, with whom she had six children: Kitiwa, Chris, Craig, Karin, Cori and Kellie.  Before her death at age 67, she was privileged to welcome 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild to the world.

Lois is remembered by those close to her as a lover of good music, bad puns, children’s literature, gardening, long walks and jelly-filled powdered doughnuts.  A private interment will be held at the Ronan cemetery.  The family suggests that in lieu of flowers a donation might be made in support of literacy.
