Summer 3 on 3 basketball kicks off

Mission Valley 3 on 3 Basketball will host a number of tournaments this summer. 

The season kicks off with the sixth annual Bigfork Battle in the Bay 3 on 3 at the Bigfork High School parking lot on July 9.  

The 2015 Bigfork Battle in the Bay had 98 teams that battled on 11 courts. Divisions will include first grade through adult boys and girls, along with a coed division. First- and second-grade or third- and fourth-grade division teams can be all boys, all girls, or coed and all bracketed into one division. The registration cost is $125 per team. 

Additionally, the first Plains Wildhorse Shoot Out will be July 16 in Plains. 

Divisions will include first and second grade coed and male or female teams in the third grade through adult age bracket. This tournament will benefit the Wildhorse Sports Association.  

The association is a local charity developing a new sports complex for Plains and Sanders County. Registration cost is $100.00.

The 21st annual Ronan Pioneer Days 3 on 3 will be held at the Ronan High School parking lot on Aug. 6. Divisions will include first grade through adult boys and girls, along with a coed division. 

 First- and second-grade or third- and fourth-grade teams can be all boys, all girls, or coed and all bracketed into one division. The registration period will open up in July. Registration cost will be $120. The 2015 Ronan Pioneer Days 3 on 3 had 85 teams that battled on 12 courts.
