State Music Festival results for local schools
Local musicians traveled to Helena last weekend to compete in the state music festival.
For Arlee, TJ Knoll received an excellent rating on his trumpet solo, and Eden Morin received the same for her vocal solo. Rory Bird was rated superior on his vocal solo, as was Taylor Lammerding on her drumset solo. She was one point away from a perfect score.
For Mission, senior Nina Popyk received a one on her vocal solo, as did freshman Yvonne Baty. Nate Doll and Korbyn Pierre also received one’s on their vocal duet.
For the Ronan students, senior Ryan Dresen received a superior rating on his vocal solo, French horn solo, and trumpet solo. Freshman Kara Holmlund was rated superior on her vocal solo and vocal duet. Senior Siliye Pete received superior ratings on her vocal duet. Jenaya Burns also received a superior on her clarinet solo.
The Ronan percussion ensemble, which was made up of 14 students, received a superior rating on their performance. The jazz band received an excellent rating.
