Olive Yvonne (Pollman) Otis

| May 19, 2016 8:15 AM

Yvonne Otis, of Prescott Valley, Arizona, and formerly of Polson, died at her residence on April 25.  Yvonne was born on April 30, 1928 as Olive Yvonne Jacobs to Earl and Polly Jacobs of Shelton, Washington.  She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Otis, whom she married in September of 1995.

During her lifetime Yvonne was known for her love of birds, flowers, wildlife and gardening.  She was a professional floral designer and landscaper spending many hours both at work and at home using her talents making homes more beautiful, both inside and out. Many people are lucky enough to still enjoy one of her beautiful arrangements in their home.  Early in her life she was a window dresser for J.C. Penney.  In her later years she enjoyed attending and speaking at Garden Club.  The last time she saw her great-grandchildren she took them all around her garden and they loved having their picture taken with her on the boulder in her garden which was so carefully delivered and landscaped in the only way she knew how …. with love!

She is survived by five children:  Paula (James) Pearson of Frederick, Maryland; Dean (Cindy) Sanders of Edmonds, Washington; Susan (Bobby) Popper of Seabeck, Washington; Carl Bradley (Nancy) Pollman of Stevensville, Montana; Leslie (Patrick Purington) Falcon of North Bend, Washington. Also surviving is a nephew, Glenn Jacobs of Puyallup, Washington.

Yvonne’s grandchildren include Shannon Pearson (Douglas Osterholt), Ryan (Diana) Pearson, Bradley (Amanda) Falcon, Logan Liddle, Kelsey (Jacob) Rose, Nicholas Pollman, Victoria Falcon, Kyle Sanders, and Michael Larner.

Her great-grandchildren include Sienna Pearson, Paige Pearson, Reid Pearson, and Jasen Rose.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Pollman, on March 8, 1988; her first husband, Paul A. Sanders of Olympia, Washington, who died in 1977; brother Paul Ellsworth Jacobs who died July 6, 1982, and infant great-grandson, Landon Pearson who died April 1, 2006.
