FREE DINNER AT POLSON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 

The November Friendship Table Dinner is coming up on Nov. 11 from 5-6:30 p.m. Polson Presbyterian Church is located across from the Linderman School. Come join us. This dinner is free and open to all.

PLAINS TO HOST POLAR BEAR PRESENTATION 

Frank Tyro, a retired professor and director of the Salish Kootenai College Media Center will present a program on polar bears at the Plains High School gymnasium on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. for grades 1-7 and at 2 p.m. for grades 8-12.  Both presentations are open to the Public.

Having just returned from a trip with the Great Bear Foundation to Churchill, Manitoba, Tyro will relate stories of his many adventures into the heart of polar bear county. Sponsored by the Clark Fork Enrichment Corporation, please join us for this free, one-hour presentation.

FVCC MUSIC STUDENTS TO PERFORM FREE CONCERT

Students enrolled in various Flathead Valley Community College music classes will perform a free concert on Friday, Nov. 18 beginning at 7 p.m. in the campus theatre. The concert will feature vocal and instrumental performances by Maddison Wambeke, Joey Brusati, Dave Smith, Mary Tilman, Jane Emmert, Jesse DeLaughter, Tyler Schenck, Sofiya Karpina, Isabelle Bennett, Ashleigh Kiehn, Rick Putuzak, Rebecca Carbajal and the FVCC Choral Ensemble. LIBRARY TO OFFER COMPUTER CLASS

North Lake County Public Library in Polson will offer Part II of a free basic computer class on Tuesday. Nov. 22. Sessions will be at 2 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m.  The class will cover operating systems and the Internet. Registration is required since space is limited. Please call Library Specialist Heather Miles or the circulation desk at 406-883-8225 to sign up. Additional classes throughout the winter will cover topics such as Internet safety, email, social media and more. The library is located at 2 First Ave. E.

ST. IGNATIUS HOLDING COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DAY DINNER

There will be a St. Ignatius Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner on Nov. 24 from 12 to 2 p.m. The meal will be served at the St. Ignatius MS Commons. All are invited and meal is free. The menu will be turkey, ham, mashed potatoes w/gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls, desserts and beverages. Come enjoy a home cooked meal with your friends, neighbors and community. MISSION CHAMBER PLANS CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES

On Saturday, Dec. 3, a children’s Christmas Carnival will be held at the Community Center from 2-4:00 p.m.  Santa will be there and there will be lots of games and prizes for kids of all ages. At 5:30 p.m. there will be a tree lighting at Gariepy Park with chili, cookies and hot beverages. We will have caroling and a parade of lights. All businesses, churches and organizations are encouraged to have a float in the parade. There is no entry fee. Later there will be details for the home decoration contest with prizes for three winners. Watch for details in the coming weeks in the paper and on posters.
