EILEEN JAMES REED

Eileen James Reed, 91 died October 28, 2016 in Polson Montana with family and friends surrounding her during her final days. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 12 at Polson Community Church, 1814 First St. E., Polson.

Eileen was born on Aug. 3, 1925, to George and Alta (Watson) James in Malden, Wash. Eileen was the youngest of three children (Brother Mitchel and Sister Virginia) and grew up in Polson gaining many life-long friends. In 1944 she married Claude Braswell and bore three sons, Duane, Ronald and Chester. From 1956 to 1983 Eileen lived in Pasco, Wash., working as a grocery clerk. Claude passed away in 1973, followed by Eileen’s son Duane in 1988. In 1975 she married Clarence Reed. Eileen moved back home to Polson in 1994 to be with her brother and to get reacquainted with her childhood friends.

Eileen is survived by her sons Ronald Braswell of Needles Calif., and Chester Braswell of Pasco, Wash. Her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and church were her greatest joys. Please come to the celebration of life to meet her family, friends, and to share memories. Food and beverages will be served at the celebration.  

Her family would like to say a heart-felt “thank you” to her many friends, the staff at Polson Health and Rehab Center, the staff at St. Joseph Medical Center and the Polson Community Church. Come share her Spirit.
