Wow, how time flies. I will be old before I know it. It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is here, and Christmas is just around the corner.

A great big thanks to all who worked so hard to make our first bazaar such a success. Thanks to all of the venders who came to sell their homemade products, to those who came and bought their goods, to those who baked so many wonderful goodies for the bake sale, to those who fixed such a delicious lunch, put up signs and to those who helped set up and clean up afterwards. We couldn’t have done it without you. The proceeds from this will go to fund the nutrition program and to the center.

We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and on Friday. We will be open for business as usual on Monday. We hope that you enjoy the holiday with family and friends.

Since we will be closed on the last Friday of the month, the November birthday dinner will be move up a week, and will be on Friday, Dec. 2. Please come and join us for a great roast beef dinner and to listen to the band play some of your favorite old music.

The board will be meeting on Monday, Dec. 5, at 9:30 a.m. If you have something to bring before the board, please let Jan know by the Friday before the meeting.

Don’t forget that bridge is played here on Monday afternoons, starting at 1 p.m. They would like to get more players to join them and to perhaps start playing other card games. The pool table is always ready to be used, and we need some more players for that also.

Our meals are served at noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and at 5:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month. Our meals and other activities are always open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.

Our menu for the rest of the month is:

Monday, Nov. 28: tuna rice bake

Wednesday, Nov. 30: beef stew

Friday, Nov. 2: our roast beef birthday dinner.

Have a great week, and enjoy the time you get to spend with family and friends.
