PARADE OF LIGHTS

Polson’s annual Parade of Lights will be held Friday, Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. There will be the lighting of the downtown Christmas Tree, along with the arrival of Santa. The stores will be open until 7 p.m. Friday for the Downtown Open House.

MDT HOLDING RONAN HIGHWAY MEETING

The Montana Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting to discuss the proposed reconstruction of U.S. Highway 93 north of Ronan in Lake County. An open house and informational presentation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the Ronan Community Center at 300 3rd. Ave. NW. The open house will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a short presentation at 6:00 p.m. The meeting is intended to update the community on the project split that allows the Ronan-North project to be scheduled for 2018 construction. No additional design has been completed for the Ronan-Urban portion south of Round Butte Road so no new information is available.

Community participation is an important part of the process, and the public is encouraged to attend. Comments and concerns may be submitted in writing at the meeting, by mail to MDT’s Missoula District office at P.O. RONAN SCHOOLS HOSTING CHRISTMAS CONCERTS

K. William Harvey Elementary will be holding their annual Christmas concerts on Dec. 13 and Dec. 14. On Dec. 13, the first grade class will perform at 9 a.m., and the fourth grade class concert will be held at 1:30 p.m. The following day, second graders will take the stage at 9 a.m., followed by third graders at 1:30 p.m. The concerts will be held at Ronan Middle School in the Performing Arts Center. All are welcome to attend.
