Lady Pirates split with Dillon, Hamilton

The Polson High School volleyball team lost both of their matches in their triangular Saturday at Lindermann Elementary Gymnasium.

The Lady Pirates lost their first match (21-25, 22-25, 25-22, 9-25) to Hamilton. Polson was led by Haley Fyant, who finished with 13 kills, Hannah Fryberger had 12 kills, and Lauren Lefthand finished with nine kills.

Kyler Lundeen had 19 digs and Haley Fyant had nine digs. Fryberger had four aces, Kaelyn Smith and Paige Noyes had three aces apiece and Lauren Lefthand finished with two blocks.

The Lady Pirates won its second match to Dillon in five matches (17-25, 25-20, 11-25, 25-20, 17-15).

Fyant finished with 20 kills, Fryberger had 12 kills, and Lefthand finished with 12 kills. Lundeen finished with 40 digs, Fryberger had 11, and Fyant had 10. The Lady Pirates were able to get 20 aces and Fryberger led the team with eight aces, Lundeen had four and Noyes finished with three.

Smith finished with 43 assists, Laurel Bitterman had 14 assists, and Noyes finished with seven assists.

Lefthand had three blocks and Smith finished with two blocks.
