Mission-Arlee-Charlo on a roll, Maidens fall in opener

The Mission-Arlee-Charlo softball team maintained its unblemished record by winning three consecutive games this past week.

M-A-C outscored Eureka 31-2 in Thursday’s double-header at Mission High School.

On Saturday M-A-C extended its winning streak to four games by defeating Libby and Troy.

The Lady Bulldogs defeated a Libby team, which defeated Ronan in its season-opener 23-2, 4-3 in a closely-contested ball game, winning 4-3.

The Lady Bulldogs continued to give their pitching staff plenty of run support. In the past week, the M-A-C manufactured a total of 51 runs in four games.

Maidens fall to Lady Loggers in season-opener

Ronan showcased its inexperience by surrendering half-a-dozen Lady Logger hits for extra bases: Hageness’s grand slam in first inning, Winslow’s two-RBI triple in second inning, Gallagher’s three-run homerun in fifth inning, and added a trio of doubles.
