Mission Valley tweens tangle with top caliber talents from out of state

Four area 12U softball players continue to sharpen their growing skill sets as part of the roster of the Missoula-based MT Avalanche squad coached by Dan Ries with input from assistant coaches that include local resident Rodney Depoe. The Mission Valley quartet notched a dozen hits during the five game series against top notch competition from Oregon and California.

The Crawford sisters Jerny and Rheid of Arlee collaborated for seven RBIs and scored another seven runs in the two wins. Both Turquoise Pierre and Ashlynn Depoe threw a few innings, while Pierre scored a run in four of the five games and while Depoe generated an RBI in one of the wins.
