There were no injuries as a result of a high-speed chase that began late Wednesday morning in Missoula and ended in Lake County Wednesday afternoon, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Alta Littlelight-Threefingers, 34, of Crow Agency, and Roishell St. Dennis, 27, of Missoula, have been identified as occupants of the vehicle pursued by law enforcement.

Both women are currently at the Lake County Jail in Polson.

Littlelight-Threefingers has been booked on charges of criminal endangerment and assault with a weapon, while St. Dennis has been booked on charges of assault with a weapon and attempted deliberate homicide.

According to a press release from LCSO, after 12 p.m. the Missoula Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a black Ford Taurus for reckless driving in a residential neighborhood.

The vehicle has been determined to have been stolen from Billings on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

Littlelight-Threefingers fled from the officer, heading toward Lake County on Highway 93 northbound, reaching speeds of 85-90 mph.

During the pursuit, Missoula law enforcement requested assistance from LCSO and Flathead Tribal Police, asking to stop-stick the vehicle.

Missoula law enforcement terminated the pursuit in the Arlee area prior to stop-stick attempts.

Shortly after, a Tribal officer observed the vehicle passing in a no-passing zone near North Valley Circle, then began a pursuit.

During the pursuit in Lake County, St. Ignatius assisted LCSO as well as Tribal Police.

Turning onto graveled side roads, the chase shifted eastward just north of St. Ignatius.

The chase continued to Eagle Pass Trail in the Ninepipes area, at which time St. Dennis “is believed” to have shot at both Tribal and LCSO personnel.

It is also believed that Littlelight-Threefingers presented a firearm as well.

Stopping on Eagle Pass Trail, east of Allard Road, law enforcement returned fire at the suspects, at which point they surrendered.

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office personnel were requested to conduct an investigation into the matter due to local law enforcement firing shots at the suspect.

St. Dennis is on felony probation out of Billings for charges of robbery and assault with a weapon.

It is not immediately known if Littlelight-Threefingers has any past or pending charges.
