Last week the Lady Pirate girls basketball team rode a figurative roller coaster splitting their two contests against Lincoln County and Columbia Falls.

Last Thursday, the Lady Pirates put together their most productive offensive showing that spans four seasons as they dispatched the visiting 7B Lincoln County Lady Lions from Eureka.

What proved to be key was a strong first frame onslaught in which the Lady Pirates dropped a half dozen triples on the Lady Lions that included three in a row from senior wing Mikayla Croft, who was one of two players to turn in a new varsity career high. The other new career high came from senior point guard Lauren Lefthand, who bolstered her previous career best stemming from the Stevensville road game by another point.

All in all, Polson placed a quartet in double digits that was rounded out by Kaelyn Smith and Mollie Fisher.
