Dave loved sharing this book with his students and with others. Andrew Garcia, the author of the book was a packer and mountain man. Garcia tells the story of the end of the era of vast open ranges before barbed wire fences from his own unique viewpoint. Garcia resisted all efforts to put his work into publishable form during his lifetime, feeling the accuracy and facts would be compromised by western fiction market of the time.

The book itself is divided into four parts. Part One will be discussed the first night. Discussion about the last three parts of the book will follow on consecutive Thursdays: Feb 2, 9, and 16. Join us for conversation and a great read.

Call Donna at 676-2837 if you need to purchase a book.
