JACOB HARLEY AADLAND

Jacob Harley Aadland, 83, peacefully passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2016 at St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Ronan. He was born on Dec. 8, 1933 on the family farm near Pierpont, S.D., to Jacob and Randi Aadland. He proudly served our country joining the Air Force in 1951 and served until 1955. On Aug. 4, 1954 he married Margie Mammal. Three children survive them: Jim and Adele Aadland, Salt Lake City, Utah; Cindy and Bill Dupuis, Pablo; Judy and Leroy Salyers, Aztec, N.M.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Throughout his life he traded horses, owned and operated several sale barns. He was particularly known for his knowledge of Quarter Horse pedigrees. He was a long time resident of the Grove, Okla., area. He will be missed. A cremation has taken place with Foster Funeral Home in St. Ignatius, with services to be held at a later date.
