Motorist identified in fatal crash

A motorcycle crash killed one and injured another Friday night, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Don Bell stated in a press release that Gibson Brooks, 19, of Ronan, died at about 11 p.m. when his motorcycle went off the road and crashed as he traveled southbound on Sloan’s Bridge, just off Round Butte Road.

A passenger, who was not named, was taken to a hospital for treatment. More information was not immediately available Tuesday.
