2 killed in car crashes across Lake County
A pair of car crashed killed two people in Lake County last week.
According to a press release from Lake County Sheriff Don Bell, 53-year-old Sharon Wyman, of Bigfork, died after rolling her vehicle along Highway 83 near Ferndale around noon on May 30. Wyman was ejected from her vehicle and died at the seen, the release states.
On Saturday night, 47-year-old Raymond Gaskins of Polson was also killed when the vehicle he was riding in crashed at the junction of Skyline Drive and Light Road near Pablo. Bell said in the release that the driver of the vehicle is receiving medical treatment for injuries.
A total of 62 people have been killed in car accidents across the state so far this year, according to statistics from the Montana Highway Patrol. The number is about 7.5 percent less than during the same time period last year.
