Additional AIS watercraft check station open in Polson
The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes are operating an additional watercraft check station at the Division of Fish, Wildlife, Recreation and Conservation offices at 406 6th Ave East in Polson. The watercraft check station is open Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. New extended hours for the Polson check station include Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
All watercraft must be inspected and cleared for launching into any Flathead Reservation water body by a certified boat inspector. All watercraft, trailers, water based personal equipment must be completely clean, drained and dry on all interior and exterior surfaces before launching into Flathead Reservation water bodies.
A watercraft check station is also currently operating in Ravalli at Highway 93 next to the highway maintenance shop. The hours of operation for the Ravalli watercraft check station are from 7 am until 9 pm Wednesday through Sunday. Monday and Tuesday hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The check station will be open Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
