Western B Girls
Ronan 64, Florence 55
In the absence of sidelined leading point producer Lee Camel nursing a gimpy ankle sustained during the previous semifinal clash, each Maiden stepped up their game a notch to compensate by exceeding per game averages in both scoring as well as rebounding in a monumental team effort that successfully defended their divisional crown. Micalann McCrea crested the 300 point plateau for the season with her opening deuce of the contest.

Ronan 65, Bigfork 60
The Western B semifinal featured eight lead changes and a quartet of ties. After trailing much of the first half, Maiden sophomore Hannah Moss tied the game at 20 apiece with her only field goal. On the following possession, Micalann McCrea splashed a triple to take over the lead. Ronan would stretch its margin to as much as 11, but the Valkyries would close the gap to within one, 57-56, with under 2 minutes remaining. A McCrea deuce and one would give the Maidens a smidge of breathing room 61-57 with 30 seconds remaining which the Maidens nursed to the final ticks. Alicia Camel would dislocate a finger in the third quarter, exited to have it popped back into place and taped, then back into the fray. Cousin Lee Camel would wrench an ankle in a scrum during the final frame.
