After experiencing yet another cold, wet month in the Flathead Basin, operators of the Selis Ksanka Qlispe Dam will continue droping lake levels for winter flood management, according to February operations report from Energy Keepers, Inc.

The report states that last monthly saw nearly 6.5 inches of precipitation, almost two-and-half-times the typical amount for February. Combined with average temperates 1.8 degrees colder than normal, water supply forecasts remain strong for coming months.

According to the report, dam operators will draft Flathead Lake down another food by the end of March for winter flood control, with refill scheduled to commence in mid-April.
