Swimmers thank community
We are writing to express our appreciation for the wonderful Montana State Swimming Short Course State Championship that Polson hosted February 24, 25 and 26. We realize what a huge undertaking this was, and the town did a fantastic job.
All of our swimmers and parents felt embraced by the Polson community. Wherever we went to eat or shop we were welcomed. The Red Lion Hotel offered a late checkout on Sunday and had a ballroom available for swimmers to hang out between sessions. There were plenty of bleachers so that we all had a place to sit and watch our kids swim. In addition, the tent put up for the swimmers gave them a place to relax and hang out between races.
The meet itself ran smoothly and efficiently. Events started on time and the staff kept the meet moving. Whenever someone encountered a technical problem, it was fixed quickly and we were back to swimming. Your pool is beautiful and will be an asset to Polson for years to come.
Thank you so much for all the hard work and effort that went on behind the scenes that no one ever sees. The short course championship is a big meet and you did a great job accommodating all of the swimmers and fans. We look forward to future meets at your pool and in your city.
