Man wanted for thefts involving local businesses
The Polson Police Department is seeking information on the location of a man wanted on 19 counts of theft involving local business, according to a Facebook post issued on March 22.
According to the post, officers are concluding a weeks long financial theft investigation of Douglas Dennis Lichte, who is wanted on a $100,000 arrest warrant.
Investigators suspect Lichte emptied multiple bank accounts containing rental payments, security deposits and other funds held in trust for individuals, partnerships or shareholders, according to the post. Affected entities include Polson Property Management, Cramelot Storage, LAM Maintenance and many individuals across Lake County, the post states.
Both of Lichte’s business offices appear to have been closed in December and his personal bank accounts had a balance of zero or below zero as of Feb. 1, the post states.
Individuals who have knowledge of Lichte’s whereabouts or believe they may be a victim are encouraged to contact Captain Alan Booth of the Polson Police Department at 883-8211 or abooth@cityofpolson.com.
