View from the Library: May

Can you believe our 70 and 80 degree days? It seems like we went from winter straight to summer (with a little spring thrown in too)! Well, these summer temperatures have got us thinking about our Family Summer Reading Program that begins June 12 at 10 a.m. Kendra has some really great programs and giveaways this year and once again. Stop in or check our Facebook page to see what this is all about. This program is open to everyone.

We are very excited to announce the addition of Flipster Digital Magazines to our totally free services. We have made a selection of seven popular magazines that include HGTV, Food Network and Crochet World. You can view these on your computer, or your tablet or phone using the app. The magazines are downloadable for offline viewing and you can print from them. There is a link on our website’s homepage as well as our Facebook page. All you need is a free library card.

Freegal is also a really great service that allows five music downloads per week as well as streaming. They just added new albums by Pentatonix, Brad Paisley, Lea Michele, Willie Nelson, and John Mayer. The link is on our homepage next to the Flipster link. Check it out!

May is another busy month here at the library. We begin our summer hours on Thursday, June 1 which are Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
