The Women’s Basketball Team of DCC poured out their frustration on visiting Salish Kootenai College of Pablo, MT in a 2nd game back to back series with 3 different teams this past weekend. DCC came out strong and struck lightning immediately, finishing the first quarter with a score of 33-15. The Lady Bison of Salish Kootenai would try to hang in there for the next two quarters, but the Lady Bucs kept them in the far distance and pulled away, winning the game 118-90.

Despite a 28 point performance by Lady Bison Braylee Stone, the Lady Bucs highlighted the overall game with very impressive numbers. DCC outrebounded their opponent 46-36, had an outstanding 25 team assists and only committed 11 turnovers for the night. They also shot 56% from the field, 46% from 3 point land and 86% from the charity stripe, going 24-28.

DCC Head Coach Romeo Lagmay, Jr. said, “After experiencing our first loss of the season, we knew we had to have amnesia about it quickly. We realized what adjustments had to be made, and we executed a plan we felt made us victorious for the evening. Kudos to the Lady Bucs for hanging in there, and staying focused throughout the game.”

Freshman Alexius Foster erupted with a 34 point performance, along with 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Julia Robarge scored 22 points and had 8 rebounds. Lexia Bell-White had 15 points and 3 steals.
