The Salish Kootenai College will host the Native American Classic Dec. 7-9 at Joe McDonald Health and Fitness Center at SKC.

The tournament will feature some of the best teams from the state of Montana, according to Warriors’ coach Zanen Pitts.

Teams that will participate include Box Elder, Arlee, Mission, Rocky Boy, Two Eagle River, Valier, Harlem, Browning, and Heart Butte, and will include both boys and girls teams from the state of Montana.

The tournament is generally a good barometer for who will be some of the top-tier teams in the state.

Pitts said he utilizes this tournament for his team as an opportunity to see where his team is at the start of the season against some of the topteams Montana has to offer.
