Susanne Marie Wilkinson

Susie was born January 5, 1966 in Missoula. She passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, November 21 at the Little Bitterroot Group Home, (her second family) in Plains, Montana.

Susie was the ninth child of twelve, born to Ed and Ruth Wilkinson, Susie was handicapped with developmental disabilities, and after the age of 17, lived in several developmental facilities in Western Montana. Susie absolutely loved her families, we made many beautiful memories. She enjoyed taking part in the Special Olympics, and she LOVED music and singing, especially Christmas songs, as this was her favorite holiday.

Susie was preceded in death by her father, Ed Wilkinson, (1994).

Survivors include her mother, Ruth Wilkinson, brothers Joe and Tom Wilkinson, all of Missoula; her brother Art (Connie) Wilkinson of Pasco, Washington; her brothers Jim, Chriss (Ronnie), and Frank Wilkinson, all of Boulder, Montana; her brother and sisters, Ed (Christine) Wilkinson, Cindy (Gerry) Neville, Michelle (Jon) Dachel, all of Cheyenne, Wyoming.; her sister Ruthie (Andy) Kulawinski of Alberton, Montana; and her sister Coco (Charlie) Blood, St. Ignatius, and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

There will be a rosary at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1 at the Foster Funeral Home in St. Ignatius. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2 at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church. There will be a reception to celebrate Susie’s life, at the church following the burial at Pleasant View Cemetery, St. Ignatius.
