Ronan Chiefs fall at Stevensville, 27-8

The Ronan High School football team lost 27-8 Monday night at Stevensville.

With the loss, the Chiefs drop to 0-2 overall record, and they will start their conference play on homecoming week when they host Polson High School at Ronan.

During the loss to Butte Central the Chiefs lost their starting quarterback Brendon Blood for what looks like an extended period of time.

They will head into their conference-opener and host Polson Friday at Ronan High School.

Scarlets volleyball on a roll

The Arlee Scarlets volleyball team won two consecutive matches this week against St. Regis and Plains.

The Scarlets defeated Plains in four games 25-18, 24-26, 25-19, 25-20.

Eden Morin led the Scarlets with eight aces and 13 kills. Sydni Rogers finished with 15 assists. Ashley Revis had five blocks and Eden Morin led the team with 13 digs.

“The team played great considering we had only two hours of low key practice because of hazardous levels of smoke in our valley,” Scarlets Coach Lonie Morin said.

Ashley Revis led the team in aces with four and with 13 kills. Sydni Rogers had 10 assists, and Eden Morin led the Lady Scarlets with 15 digs.

Arlee defeated St. Regis 25-18, 25-12, 25-20.

Lady Bulldogs fall to Eureka, Troy

The Mission High School volleyball team lost back-to-back matches against Troy and Eureka.

The Lady Bulldogs lost in three games to Troy 7-25, 18-25, 22-25.

Sophia Tolbert had three digs, eight assists, and a block. Frankie Smith had five digs, two assists, and three aces. Tristen Adams had two digs, two kills, and three aces. Azia Umphrey had two aces, Afton Brander had two kills, a block and an ace. Hunter Eichert finished with a dig, a block and an ace. River Gonzalez finished with eight digs, Leila Marsh had a kill and a block and Karolyna Buck finished with three digs and five kills.

The Lady Bulldogs lost to Eureka in three games 22-25, 15-25, 16-25 Saturday afternoon at Mission High School.

Buck led the team in kills with six, Gonzalez had nine digs, and Tolbert led the team with four assists.
