Hot Springs defeated the Lady Vikings 25-21, 26-24, 25-19.

“We basically hurt ourselves and our serving percentage,” Vikings’ coach Janelle Pruitt said. “Our serving percentage was very low. Hot Springs picked it up and got the ball over the net. We just didn’t get as many kills as usual.”

Caitlin Cox led the Lady Vikings with 13 kills, Kara Tatukivei had 24 kills, Brooklyn Foust had four assists and Cox led the team with four aces.

The Vikings dropped a four-game match to Plains 21-25, 25-15, 9-25, 14-25.

Cox led the team with seven kills, Foust had 10 kills, Cox had 28 digs, Allie Delaney also had 26 digs. Tatukivei had two blocks and Cox and Foust both finished with two aces each.

Pruitt said she felt there is “room for improvement.”

“I would like to see improvement in communication and that has what has gotten us in every match we lost,” Pruitt said. “We have had small errors because of a lack of communication, learning how to run a smooth game from start to finish and dealing with the high moments and low moments. We just have to learn to keep ourselves level headed and move in the right direction to be more efficient and aggressive from start to finish.”
