Ronan Chamber holds awards luncheon

During the Ronan Area Chamber of Commerce’s April luncheon, awards were handed out to those recognized for their work in the community.
Held at Allentown Restaurant in Charlo on Thursday, April 5, more than 40 people attended the approximately hour-long luncheon.
Those awards and recipients include: Jamie Buhr, Citizen of the Year; Brandy Chisholm, Volunteer of the Year; Robbie Gauthier, Ambassador of the Year; Valley Bank, Business of the Year; Frank Sucha and Celie Aylesworth, Teacher(s) of the Year.
Recipients received plaques and free lunch.
In previous years, there wasn’t much interest regarding an awards ceremony, board member Gypsy Ray said.
Earlier this year, she said, board members decided to replace one regular monthly meeting with an awards banquet as a way to make the event more successful.
