Maidens exorcize Devils, square record
At Ronan, the host Maidens exorcized the visiting Lady Blue Devils with a ten run ruling that sent them back to the Bitterroot feeling the blues. The game was framed by bookend doubles. Pitcher and leadoff batter Gabby Wirz opened with a double, while middle of the order batter Jaylyn Hakes closed the book on the contest with an RBI double that ended the game by the ten run differential. Marissa Mock turned in a solid day at the plate with a pristine on base percentage that included three hits that generated five RBIs. The tandem of Shailee Courville and Jaylyn Hakes also turned in a pair of RBIs apiece. One Maiden was humorously teased when her glute maximized for more RBI productivity than her bat upon being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded that would force home a run.

Broncs unhorse Maides
At Frenchtown on a Monday makeup game, the host Lady Broncs showed themselves to be in the conversation of SWA contenders when they saddled the visiting NWA Maidens with a sizeable deficit. Having shifted over from the NWA the past several seasons, Frenchtown exemplified clutch hitting and crisp pitching in building a double digit lead. Ronan countered by carving into the deficit with a four run fourth, but couldn’t make a deeper inroad into the lead.
Marissa Mock led the Maidens with two hits, while Macao Jackson stroked a multiple RBI base hit that plated a pair of runs in the top of the fourth inning. With two out, Mock singled safely with Brooklyn Kenelty entering as a courtesy runner. Emilie Corley grounded toward shortstop, who muffed the flip of the ball to second base, leaving two runners aboard. Jaylyn Hakes then singled to load the bases. Madison Clairmont would reach first safely on a fielding error of an infield popup, Kenelty scampering home for the first Ronan run. Macao Jackson then stroked a 2RBI single, advancing to second on the Frenchtown throw home in an attempt to nail Hakes before she could cross the plate. Clairmont then scored on a passed ball before a groundout would end the productive inning.
In the top of the fifth with two out, Katlyn Santos and Mock would hit back to back singles as Ronan refused to go quietly in an effort to extend the game. But a subsequent groundout would end the would-be rally.

Asterisk (*) denotes stat variant(s) where visitor book data differs from host venue criteria/media coverage: R:F=5H,3E||R=7H,2E/F17H,3E. Rbk notations credit Corley with reaching base twice via singles, but technical assessment criteria ought to have scored those as HB,FC, which would account for the H differential. Host venue scored Jackson as a 1B single with advance to second base on the throw to try to nab runner trying to cross the plate. Clairmont scored on a PB passed ball and may not have been a SB stolen base.
