Bulldogs, Lady Bulldogs track excel at T-Falls

Sydney Brander and Afton Brander are two of the main components for the Lady Bulldogs and at the Thompson Falls Invite, they were no exception.

Sydney Brander finished third in the 100-meter dash recording a time of 14.04 seconds and Afton Brander finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.96, a personal record.

Afton Brander also finished first in the triple jump with a distance of 32 feet. 1.50 inches and Afton and Sydney placed first and second in the long jump. Afton leaped to a record 15 feet, 2 inches and Sydney levitated to 14 feet, 11 inches.

Afton Brander finished fourth in the high jump at Seeley recording a distance of 5 feet. Brander finished fourth in triple jump recording a distance of 31 feet, 11.50 inches.

Karolyna Buck showcased her ability to distance race at T-Falls. Buck finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 45.64 seconds and finished second in the 1,600-meter run recording a time of 6 minutes, 6 seconds.

Buck also finished fourth in the 800-meter run at the Seeley Invite Saturday at Big Sky. Buck finished with a time of 2 minutes, 43.58 seconds.

Lady Bulldogs’ Riley Wilson finished second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.68 seconds.

In the 4X100 relay, the team comprised of Afton Brander, Hunter Eichert, Karolyna Buck and Sydney Brander placed second with a time of 56.73 seconds.

Tristan Adams excelled in the throwing events with a throw of 28 feet, 9.50 inches, a personal record.

Mission High School participant Michael Durglo is a major component in building the ever-growing reputation Mission High School is developing for having top-tier throwers with his performance Thursday afternoon at the Thompson Falls Invite.

Durglo finished had three first-place finishes at T-Falls. He finished first in the shot put with a distance of 43 feet, 0.25 inches, first in the discus with a distance of 122 feet and first in the javelin with a throw of 153 feet, 10 inches, to set a personal record.

Durglo continued his success at the Seeley Invite at Big Sky. He finished second in discus recording a distance of 133 feet, 3 inches, a personal record and fourthin the shot put with a distance of 43 feet, 8 inches.

Durglo’s teammate Matt Anderson had his share of top-five finishes at T-Falls and Seeley. Anderson finished fourth with a throw of 30 feet, 7.5 inches and fifth with a throw of 81 feet, 10 inches at T-Falls.

Bulldogs excel

Durglo placed fourth at the Seeley Invite Saturday afternoon at Big Sky. Durglo recorded a throw of 43 feet, 8 inches. Durglo also finished second in the discus events recording a distance of 133 feet, 3 inches, a personal record at Seeley.

The two Bulldogs continue to be competitive at various throwing events in the state of Montana.

Trance Bird also finished with some outstanding performances at T-Falls. Bird was a part of a 4X100 relay team that finished first that included Darius Redstar, Austin Elverud, Flint McPherson and him that recorded a time of 48.66 seconds at T-Falls.

Conner Burke, Nasateweya, Denzel Lefthand and Joe Stults recorded a 4X400 relay time of 4 minutes, 8.90 seconds.

Bird finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.44 seconds and third in the 200-meter with a time of 25.99 seconds.

Isaiah Nasatewaya finished in the top-five in the 1,600-meter dash. Nasatewaya recorded a time of 5 minutes, 12 seconds.

Nasatewaya finished fourth at Seeley with a time of 2 minutes, 19.21 seconds, a personal record Saturday at the Seeley Invite at Big Sky.

McPherson finished fourth in the long jump recording a leap of 18 feet. McPherson and Redstar also finished in the top-five in the triple jump. McPherson recorded a jump of 37 feet, 5.50 inches and Redstar recorded a jump of 36 feet, 9.75 inches.

Lake County athletes excel at the meet

Ronan Maidens runner Kinsley Barney finished placed third in the 200-meter dash at the Columbia Falls High School Iceberg Invitational with a time of 29.20 and Julian Schonbrod finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.20 seconds.

Scarlet excels in recent meets

Arlee Scarlet Payton Lammerding finished within the top-five in the shot put at the Deer Lodge/Arlee/Seeley event Tuesday afternoon at MCPS Stadium in Missoula. Lammerding threw 31 feet, 6.5 inches and also PRed in the discus with a throw of 97 feet, 4 inches.

Seeley in Missoula Lammerding threw the shot put to place fifth with a throw of 32 feet, 11.5 inches at the Seeley Invite Saturday afternoon at Big Sky High School.
