| April 27, 2018 11:52 AM

Anthony Wayne Autry Fleenor was born on July 2, 1946 and passed away on April 8, 2018.

He was born in Jonesville, Virginia to Jewel Leila and David Sewell Fleenor.

Tony had two children with his first wife and friend, Sherry Croft; Toni Lee and Heather Marie.

In 1977, he married Carmie Dobbins. They enjoyed 41 years together. Together they had two children: Jenny Linda and Tara Anne.

Tony lived for his family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved the mountains, hunting, fishing and storytelling with his friends. Tony was never a stranger, greeting people with a strong handshake and a smile that put comfort in all who met him.

Tony loved his family passionately and it reflects in the way his family speaks of him.

Tara knew him as a man who would give the shirt off his back convincing you that he didn’t need it because he was too hot, even when he wasn’t.

Toni Lee recalls how he taught her to drive at age 10 and how to be compassionate. She says, “he taught me how to ride and care for my horse and how to build my ‘57 Chevy from the wheels up.”

Jenny says, “I see him when I look into the mirror. I inherited his eyes. I see him in my kids and my nieces and nephews. I see his temperament and personality peppered throughout all of them.”

Heather says, “I inherited one of my best qualities from him, my sense of humor. He always made people laugh.”

Tony had a strong love for his God Jehovah. He knew and believed in the resurrection hope and a time when he would live again here on earth where he will build his own house and live in peace under Jehovah’s Kingdom. Isaiah 65:17-25
