David Nowotny
David LeRoy “Uncle” Nowotny, 68, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 24 at his home in Polson.
David was born Sept. 18, 1949, in Longview, Wash., to Raymond and Nadine Nowotny. He was a U.S. Army veteran and lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Bruce. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; brothers, Ray and Tim Nowotny; sisters, Marcell Ammon and Nancy Larson; daughter, Brenda (Jim) Steiner; sons, Joshua (Ashley) Nowotny and Eli (Cortney) Nowotny; step-sons, Kurt (Lena) and Nick Burland; step-daughters, Denise and Miranda Burland; grandkids, James, Ashlee, Boone, Ellie, Easton and Kaleb; great-grandson, Anders; nieces, Jennifer and Valerie; and nephew, Roy.
A small service will be held in the upstairs banquet hall at the Polson VFW, 423 Main St. in Polson on Saturday, Aug. 4 from 2 to 6 p.m. Family and friends are invited to celebrate David’s life and share memories.
