The Lake County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, 1:30 pm, in the Lake County Courthouse, Room 211 at 106 E. 4th Avenue, Polson, MT, for the purpose of obtaining views of the residents of the county, especially low- and very low-income residents, regarding the community's housing needs and priorities of the County for housing improvements. The County is considering submitting an application to the Montana Department of Commerce for a HOME Investment Partnerships Program Grant, and wants to obtain public comment on the needs of the community. The County will discuss the purpose of the HOME Program and the variety of activities eligible for funding. At the public hearing, everyone will be given the opportunity to express their opinions regarding the County's needs and the type of projects, which should be considered. Comments may be given orally at the hearing or submitted in writing before 5PM Tuesday, August 14, 2018. The Lake County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at 1:30 PM in the Lake County Courthouse Commissioners Office, Room 211, located at 106 E. 4th Avenue, Polson, MT, for the purpose of obtaining public comments regarding a proposed application to the Montana Department of Commerce's Community development Block Grant (CDBG) Program to assist with improvements to NW 11th Avenue including extension of the sewer line from Round Butte Road to NW 11th Avenue. Also included will be grading, paving, and sidewalks in anticipation of developing Meadowlark Vista, a 24 -40 unit workforce housing community. At the public hearing, the proposed project will be explained, including the purpose and proposed area of the project, activities, budget, possible sources of funding and any impact to local citizens. All interested persons will be given the opportunity to ask questions and to express their opinions regarding this proposed project.
