Michael Weber Jr.

Michael Joseph Weber Jr. passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 14, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Polson, Mont.

Mike was born in Butte on May 15, 1936, to Michael J. and Margaret “Doll” (Harrington) Weber. He attended St. Ann’s Grade School and graduated from Boy’s Central. Mike served his country in the United States Navy, and following his honorable discharge returned to Butte where he started his lifelong career as an electrician. He served as electrical inspector for Butte-Silver Bow from 1991 until his retirement in 2000.

Mike was a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and an active member and 4th degree, Knights of Columbus.

Mike married Jeanne Marie LaPalm in St. Patrick’s Church on April 28, 1962, and she passed away on Aug. 3, 2008, 10 years and 11 days apart. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Doll Weber; grandchildren, Jamie Schreiner and Kassidy Bettle; as well as his brother-in-law, Ernie LaPalm.

Survivors include his children: Joe and Kandice Weber, Steve and Sarah Weber, Bill and Roxanne Weber, Chris and Erika Weber and Annette and Mark Stajcar. Mike dearly loved his grandchildren as well, Aidan Weber; Steven and Kacey Weber; Ashley Weber; Elizabeth and Richie Pierce; Brian and Kelsey Bettle; Kristy Bettle; Sophia Weber; Tucker Weber; and Alice, Arika and Anthony Stajcar. Great-grandchildren include: Reagan, Brock and Bennet Weber; Ashley Teagan and Silas Pierce; and Brayden and Kinzie Bettle. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law, Mary Carol and Millie LaPalm, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including Corby Anderson.

Mike’s remains are in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home where Parish Rosary services will be conducted this (Thursday) evening, Aug. 23 at 6 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday afternoon, Aug. 24 at 2 o’clock in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Rite of Committal will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will follow in Wayrynen-Richards Community Center.
