Nine busted in Polson raids

Two search warrants led to eight arrests on Wednesday, June 27, according to Polson Police Sgt. George Simpson.
Those arrested include: Aaliyah Solder Chief Woods, for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, and a warrant for failure to appear on criminal possession of dangerous drugs; Charles Pluff, for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, a warrant for failure to appear on criminal possession of dangerous drugs, and driving while license is suspended or revoked; Devon Dechenne, for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of criminal possession of a dangerous drug; Ellen Caye, for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and theft; Sawyer Runkel, for criminal possession of a dangerous drug and a warrant for failure to appear on criminal possession of dangerous drugs; Khyle Gardipe, for criminal distribution of dangerous drugs, criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia; Alyssa Mahler, for two counts of criminal possession of a dangerous drug and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia; and Tessi Curley, for a warrant for violation of conditions of release.
The warrants were carried out at 1008 Second Street East and 112 Fourth Avenue West.
Law enforcement seized firearms, methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, prescription pills, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
“Some of the suspects are believed to frequent both locations,” Simpson said, which is a reason the department ran investigations into both houses congruently.
Simpson said that the “warrants were the result of a short-term drug investigation.”
Citizen complaints led to an investigation, he added.
No children were believed to be living inside the residences, and no one was injured during the execution of the search warrants.
Since December of 2018, the department, oftentimes teaming up with other agencies, have conducted about a dozen raids.
Simpson said that the department is thankful the citizens voiced their concerns regarding the two houses.
“The best intelligence we receive is from our community,” he added.
