Details regarding a man who fell during a hike last week are still largely unknown.

According to Lake County Undersheriff Ben Woods, the man who fell last week in the Mission Falls area did not fall 70 feet as initially thought, and did not sustain life-threatening injuries.

Woods said that the man, whose identity has not yet been released, was airlifted by Two Bear Air of Whitefish, then transferred to Alert Air Ambulance at the St. Ignatius airport, and transported to Missoula, although Woods could not confirm where the man was taken.

On the morning of Wednesday, July 18, first responders, including Lake County Search and Rescue and Two Bear Air, answered a report of a man who fell.
