REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND BID FOR VIDEO SURVEILLANCE CAMERA MAINTENANCE AND NATIONAL MONITORING CENTER COMPUTER MAINTENANCE The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes Safety of Dams (SOD) Program desires to enter in to an Agreement with a Contractor to provide maintenance of video surveillance cameras at the SOD office, and provide maintenance of the computer system at the National Monitoring Center (NMC) office in Ronan, MT. Maintenance of the video system requires camera and computer cleaning, repair, and replacement where required. Maintenance of the NMC computer system requires cleaning and replacement of hardware, and maintenance of system software. MT-18-10 June 18, 2018 PURPOSE OF PUBLIC NOTICE The purpose of this notice is to state the Department's intention to issue a wastewater discharge permit to the facility listed in this notice. This permit is issued by the Department under the authority of 75-5-402, Montana Code Annotated (MCA); the Administrative Rules of Montana (ARM) 17.30.1301 et seq., Montana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (MPDES); and Sections 402 and 303 of the Federal Clean Water Act. The Water Protection Bureau has prepared a draft permit for the facility listed below. Water is pumped from Flathead Lake at a depth of about 26 feet and located about 100 feet from the southeast shore of Shelter Island. The lake water is pumped through a heat pump/heat exchanger system and is returned to Flathead Lake at a depth of about 53 feet and located about 130 feet from the southeast shore of Shelter Island. No chemicals are added to the water. The only pollutant added or removed from use of Flathead Lake water is temperature. The parameter pH is expected to vary slightly with effluent temperature. The effluent limits on temperature and pH of the 2012-issed permit have been applied to the renewed permit. No treatment is provided, and the water quality of the receiving water will be unaffected beyond the mixing zone allowed. The proposed permit requires self-monitoring of discharge quality and quantity, with monthly reporting of results. This permit and Fact Sheet will be submitted to the EPA for approval. PUBLIC COMMENT Public comments are invited ANYTIME PRIOR TO CLOSE OF BUSINESS July 18, 2018.
