During the 28th Annual Lake County Leader Trade Show, the Lake County 4H Aerospace project was invited to run concessions.

More than 50 Indian Tacos and more than 12 gallons of coffee, along with various desserts, were served.

Lake County 4H Aerospace is a project group led by Eric Kendall, an avid aviation enthusiast.

The 4H Aerospace Project invites 4H children from ages 8-19 with an interest in aviation where they will learn about multiple facets of aviation.

The group raised more than $300 for its program while at the trade show.

“This is our only fundraiser” that creates funds needed to purchase rocket kids, airplane kits, and hot air balloon kits, among other purchases, Kendall said.

Aerospace involves the fascination of flying an airplane, launching a rocket, conquering space and becoming an astronaut or pilot. Through fun and challenging activities, you will learn about flying, kites, hot air balloons, remote control airplanes, gliders and space shuttles.

Volunteers as well as sponsors from Whites Wholesale Meats, Wal-Mart of Polson, Harvest Foods of Ronan and Super 1 in Polson helped to make the concessions come to fruition, Kendall said.
