An Arlee resident is currently being held at the Missoula County Jail on a $1 million bond, facing a charge of attempted deliberate homicide.

In early morning of March 6, Ivory Brien, 19, a student at University of Montana from Arlee, and Chase Munson, 18, allegedly entered a convenience store in the 2400 block of S. Higgins Avenue, where two individuals were shot, according to a press release from the Missoula City Police Department.

Munson is also facing a charge of attempted deliberate homicide.

The suspects fled the store prior to officers’ arrival.

Two male victims were transported to an area hospital where one was treated and released.

Once information was provided to MCPD detectives, search warrants were served at Miller Residence Hall on the UM campus.

As a result of the search warrants, both Brien and Munson, along with “other possible accomplices,” where identified and interviewed.

It was not immediately known at presstime Tuesday if Brien or Munson, or both, shot the victims.

The victims’ identities were also not immediately known.

A call to the Missoula County Attorney was not immediately returned.
