Ronan celebrates St. Patrick's Day

The 29th Annual O’Ronan St. Patrick’s Day Parade was held on Saturday, March 17 on Main Street in Ronan.

Participants of the procession, sponsored by The Ronan Irish Community, were judged on their floats.

Taking most of the bragging rights this year was “The Bird,” also known as “The Pheasant,” winning most likely to cause a riot, best Irish attire, most shamrocks, and best (overall winner) float.

This year’s winners include:

Best kids float: 4-H Club, “Most Irish Animal”

Best walkers: Templer’s green horses

Best first timer: tie between Shakira Burrafato and burro, and the Honor Guard, and Lake County Sheriff Don Bell

Most likely to spend the night in jail: Lake County Sheriff Don Bell

Most Irish: O’Leary’s Old Ladies
