Woman sentenced for December chase
A Missoula woman was back in court last week where she was sentenced for her involvement in a December high speed chase that crossed into Lake County.
Roishell St. Dennis, 28, was sentenced to 20 years in the Montana State Prison with 10 years suspended and given 147 days credit for time served for one count of assault with a deadly weapon.
As part of a plea agreement, a charge of deliberate homicide was dismissed.
On Dec. 6, 2018, St. Dennis was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Alma Littlelight-Threefingers in Missoula. During a traffic stop attempt, Littlelight-Threefingers fled, headed toward Lake County.
The vehicle was later determined to have been stolen out of Billings in November.
Multiple attempts to stop the pursuit were unsuccessful.
In the Ninepipes area, it was believed that the women shot at both Flathead Tribal Police and Lake County Sheriff’s Office personnel.
The pursuit ended when law enforcement returned fire and the women surrendered.
In March, St. Dennis entered a guilty plea for assault with a deadly weapon.
Last month, Littlelight-Threefingers, 34, of Hardin, entered a guilty plea for a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon after she admitted she fired a weapon at a county law enforcement officer in December.
Lake County Attorney Steven Eschenbacher previously explained to the court that investigators have been unable to find gun powder residue in the vehicle, thus unable to prove a weapon was fired.
St. Dennis has been housed at the Sanders County Jail, while Littlelight-Threefingers has been at the Lake County Jail.
Littlelight-Threefingers is scheduled back in court on May 16 for sentencing.
