Wanda Viola McLeod-Bennet

| May 31, 2018 2:13 PM

Wanda Viola McLeod-Bennett, 68, of Polson, Montana, passed away at home on May 26, 2018 after fighting a battle with cancer. Wanda passed quietly with her family by her side, as she had wished.

On March 21, 1950 in Bakersfield, California, Wanda was born to Alexander (Alex) and Viola McLeod and joined her big brother Lewis. As time went on Wanda and Lewis were joined by little sisters Patricia and Rita.

Wanda worked hard her entire life as she has raised her three children; Renee McDaniel, Joe Guse and Travis (TJ) Guse, at times working more than one job.

Wanda is survived by her sister Rita Maloney, her loving husband Steve, and her children Renee, Joe and TJ. She also is survived with many grandchildren and great grandchild, as well as multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The voices of those that passed before were too loud for Wanda to ignore. Wanda’s spirit has won the fight over her earthly body as she took her last breath, now living an eternity in Heaven. Wanda has joined her parents, brother Lewis and sister Patricia. Wanda has also reunited with her family and friends that have gone home before her.

From Wanda’s daughter Renee: Many times I had heard mom say that she was ready to see her mom and dad again. She was longing to be with them, and now she has joined them and I’m sure the reunion was glorious. I know that one day we all will meet on the other side and until then, I love and miss you and thank you for being my Mother.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, at the Four Square Church in Polson. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family online at www.lakefuneralhomeandcremation.com. The Lake Funeral Home and Crematory, Polson, is assisting Wanda’s family with arrangements.
