Arlee fire contained

A fire near Arlee that began last week is contained, according to fire officials. The Rehbein Fire was located 2.5 miles northeast of Arlee, on the Flathead Indian Reservation, and was contained Friday, Oct. 26. The blaze was ignited on Tuesday, Oct. 23, by a citizen burning debris and grass, according to The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes Division of Fire. A total of 14 personnel worked on the fire, as well as a type-2 helicopter. No charges have been filed and an investigation is ongoing. Open burning for debris is ongoing through Nov. 30.
