Adale Chew

Adale Naine Chew, born Jan. 5, 1971, in Libby, passed away from cancer on Nov. 6, 2018.

She attended Libby Schools and graduated in 1990 — raised her first family, Mason Risteau and Maurica Risteau/Jerry Erickson. Adale returned to Libby, attended college and received a medical associates degree, then worked at St. John’s and Cabinet Peaks Medical.

Adale started a second family, Bailey and Aspen. On Aug. 15, 2015, Adale and girls moved to Polson, and she entered Salish Kootenai College to pursue her dream of a nursing degree and where she enjoyed Native classes and dance.

She is preceded in death by her twin sister, Danenan. Adale is survived by granddaughter, Claira; mother, Dianne Walker; father, Ray (Laurie) Chew; sisters, Cathy (Robin) Jenks, and Christy (Tim) Anderson; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Nov. 17 at the Libby Christian Church in Libby.
